There were a few recurring themes in the conversations I listened to about the real estate market last week. I heard professionals, market leaders and consumers all saying basically the same thing…the real estate market today is flooded with data and starved for wisdom. We certainly have a lot of numbers and predictions about the market being thrown around online, in the news and during conversations at dinner tables across the country.
How do you know what to believe? What is the TRUE state of the housing market? Here’s the real answer….it depends. The true state of the housing market is completely different in New Jersey than it is in Nevada. It’s different county by county and town by town. As consumers, you shouldn’t ignore what you hear on the nightly news, but it is just as important to understand the market on a hyperlocal level – specifically what is happening in your town.
